Holiday Updates and Stuff

I haven’t posted anything on this personal tab in a while, so I thought I’d take a Friday and post some of our day to day happenings!

I don’t know if Dixie has graced the blog yet… but here she is! She’s our little buddy and sometimes we get to babysit her and its THE BEST.
Also, she loves car rides so a car selfie was a MUST.

Moving onto Thanksgiving! This year we had Thanksgiving with the Steeds- but still spent a little time with my family as well! Traditional girl pic πŸ™‚

We got to spend the day with Skylor’s family and it was such a blast! The day was full of good food, good company and lots of laughs! There was a full house over there (only missing Elder Steed all the way over in Romania. I wish we would’ve gotten a pic with everyone!
I branched out and make a pumpkin caramel cheesecake. It turned out pretty tasty if I do say so myself… Although it isn’t a great picture haha.
Now onto my favorite time of year… who doesn’t love trees, lights, hot chocolate and (sometimes) snow?!?! I vote no one.
And how could you not love this cutie dressed in all her winter apparel HAHA. We were dying.
Also- that’s our very first Christmas tree together! Even though it was frustrating to set up (artificial tress…..) I’m so glad we had it!
With Skylor out of school and most of my family in town, my mom rented a cabin up near Sundance for everyone to play and have a good time! It was so fun! I loved being with everyone and the kids made Christmas so magical!
Speaking of kids… all of the kids (especially Landon) LOVE Skylor. He’s their favorite person (I swear) and will do anything to be by him and play with him. Melts my freaking heart its so cute.
I can’t even tell you how much snow was up there…. it was a lot! So much that we didn’t know if we were going to be able to get my Camry outta there to Springville to talk to Braxton on Christmas.
Sorry, had to throw this one in here cause I got Sky a beard groomer for Christmas and we were looking up different styles haha.
The crew! We couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas. So much love for these guys.

After Christmas, we just hung out a lot at home, watched Star Wars a few times and it was so nice. Having a little break was the best. Seriously.
We got to spend New Years’ with Katie’s family (my mom left a little early cause she wasn’t feeling too good). We ate, watched movies and some Brooklyn 99… so it was fun! Just chill, ya know?

Since the holidays we’ve been trying to get adjusted to real life again (booooo). Skylor has started his last full semester at BYU (yeeeeahhhhhh) and I’m back to work! Sky has finished all his grad school apps and I’m trying to kick off Eat Glitter so its been nice and busy! We will find out where we are headed to for grad school later this year and I cannot wait!
On a happier note, we got a bunny (known as the following: Honey Bun, hun bun, bun bun, bun or any derivative of that haha), went to the ice castles with our good friends (John & Steph) in Midway, hit up some pheasant hunting and ya.
We got lots of normal going on over here!
